Winter break housing: According to Director of Residential Life and Housing Annie Aversa, several Barnard dorms will shut down during winter break next year, forcing students who live in those dorms to stay in other students’ rooms if they want to remain on campus during the break. The winter housing fee will also increase next year. Aversa explained that since fewer students have used winter housing over the last few years, it has become more expensive for Barnard to keep dorms open, necessitating the increased fee.
