Perched on a subway platform awaiting the downtown 1, I was casually eyeing the newsstand’s many magazines, when I noticed that something was aesthetically amiss on the covers of two popular lifestyle glossies: Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour. With five minutes to go and a few dollars to spare, I hurriedly flipped through the pages of these redesigned publications. Since I’m an avid Vogue reader, Bazaar’s similarly sleek cover had me at hello. The paper felt thicker, a little more defined.
