This is your life on Instagram

There comes a time when one must acknowledge a phenomenon--like when news sites decided to stop trying and just use Twitter, or when you finally gave in in 5th grade and made a MySpace. For the iPhone app Instagram, it's officially its day in the sun. It is, to iPhone owners, what the daguerreotype was to everyone in the late 1800s because it brings photography to the masses. But that's not always really a good thing. If you look at the pictures trending on Instagram, most are decent, but some are just a little bit ridiculous (a few minutes ago, a picture of someone holding an egg in their hand over grass was trending). So in that spirit, some editors at The Eye sent in a few of their mundane Instagram shots for your viewing pleasure.
