A long-planned protest against Columbia expansion drew heightened attention today following the death of at a worker at a nearby construction site. Protesters met at the Columbia gates and marched together to Tuck-it-Away Storage, a local business resisting the CU expansion, on W 125th St. At Tuck-it-Away, organizers of the protest announced that they would be occupying the business, located adjacent to the construction site at which a worker was killed this morning, 24/7 in order to send a message to Columbia University.
