How to ruin a classic book with a film

Many students own up to the fact that part of what really attracted them to Columbia was that Vampire Weekend formed here.

But, my story is somewhat more embarrassing. To be honest, it was actually the introduction to Jack Kerouac’s On the Road that first drew me to Columbia.

So, when I found out a couple days ago that a film adaptation of Kerouac’s classic beat novel will be released next year, starring Garret Hedlund as Moriarity, Twilight’s Kristen Stewart as his wife, and Sam Riley as narrator Sal Paradise, I was just a little skeptical.
