There’s no shortage of websites that evaluate movies on the Internet. The most prominent ones, including Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes, assign films a score based on the opinions of various film critics. While the movie critic judges a film for its cinematography, acting, and script, a growing trend among moviegoers is to assess a film’s worth through a political lens. Some viewers place so much importance on the political views movies represent that they won’t even see a movie featuring an actor whose politics they find disagreeable.
