The hungry restaurant-goer in New York City is surely one of the luckiest people around. With thousands of dining options and culinary superstars like Daniel Boulud and Jean Georges Vongerichten smiling upon the city’s gourmets, there is something in the Zagat guide for everyone. More recently, however, a budding movement in New York’s gastrosphere has begun to challenge the idea that having a good meal in the city is dependent upon picking the right restaurant.
