First off, way to go Columbia—from 2006 to 2011, we have had the most Fulbright recipients in the Ivy League, with 30 Columbians receiving scholarships. Harvard trails us with just 16.
And this year, we already have seven students (there are still applicants waiting to hear) and alums who can lay claim to these prestigious awards: Sarah Brafman, CC '10, David Kang, CC '09, Gene Kogan, SEAS '08, Rithambara Ramachandran, CC '12, Emily Tamkin, CC '12, and James Tyson, CC '12.
So while congratulations have undoubtedly been pouring in for these winners, here is a more unorthodox one that pays tribute to one of the most famous Fulbright Scholars, Sylvia Plath.
