For the latest installment of a series about the various wacky students that make up the Varsity Show cast and crew, Christin Zurbach sat down with V Show veteran Rebekah Lowin.
Christin Zurbach: Why the Varsity Show? I know you did it last year, so why did you decide to audition again?
Rebekah Lowin: It was an incredible experience. For me, I spent such a long time doing it last semester that I thought, initially, I wasn’t going to be doing it this year. It’s something that you do, you are proud of, you are a part of this big tradition, and then you’re done.
The reason I decided to do it again was actually because I heard who was going to be in the creative team. I know the musical director really well, Solomon Hoffman. Solomon is classically trained, so I knew that I would be able to have a good “classical friend” in the show. I’m an opera singer actually, which a lot of people don’t know.
