Not in a creepy, bogeyman-type way—think more friendly and engaging. And don’t be too surprised: This has been going on for a long time. Free CDs and fliers handed out on the streets have given way to MP3 downloads of singles and remixes, as musicians fight to get their name out and turn strangers into fans.
