With Napster and dial-up long in the past, we are now well into what some are calling the “post-Internet” era of music. Perhaps the best-known artist within this paradigm is indie songstress Claire Boucher, otherwise known as Grimes. In fact, her 2011 interview with Interview Magazine helped coin the term: “I think my sound is post-Internet. People my age had the Internet when they were kids. So I think I just had a really diverse musical background, but from a really young age.”
