At the Barnard Student Government Association's final meeting of the year, SGA representatives unleashed their true colors and graduating seniors got in their last hurrahs. Emma Goss reports on the heated meeting that went into overtime:
Trouble communicating: Joanne Kwong, Barnard’s vice president of communications, was the administrative guest of the evening. She talked about the role of the communications department in shaping Barnard’s image and her involvement in preparing for President Barack Obama’s commencement address, but she kept all of her statements off the record.
Extremely loud and incredibly chaotic: The atmosphere of the meeting was far from business as usual. SGA members engaged in debates and disputes, frequently talked over and interrupted each other, held side conversations, and had difficulty reaching agreements when things came to a vote.
