Any a.m. is too early for a class

It's my right as an American to wake up and wonder whether I should have breakfast or lunch, but some anti-constitutionalists don't agree.

The committee in charge of working on the lack of space for classes that came up with 8:40 a.m. classes, it turns out, also suggested creating classes at 7:40 a.m.

In today's paper, Cecilia Reyes talks to some people are are super excited about the new 8:40 a.m. classes:

“I know that if I took a later class I would sleep later and just laze around my dorm,” said Kirk, who is enrolled in an 8:40 a.m. class. “I think it’s important to get started with the day. Hopefully, this will motivate me to not go to bed too late during the week.”

Considering that I dug out my megaphone and just got back from Ivy League Stationery with poster board and markers after hearing about these 7:40 a.m. classes, I wondered if anyone else shared my agitation. But the closest to any anger over the new schedule comes later in the article:

Ghazi agreed, noting that some students are still upset with the changes to the schedule.

“This is already making people mad,” he said. “Earlier classes would not be a good idea.”

So I'll speak up for these "some students." This is the worst idea ever.
