Disclaimer: I love Lena Dunham. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, seeing as I embody the key demographic that HBO's Girls attempts to target (young, female, prone to drowning my sorrows in chocolate, etc).
But despite the many things that Girls gets right about being a semi-adult woman in New York (and of course acknowledging the issues the show has with diversity), there was some unrealistic (and sometimes downright weird) stuff going on in the show that made it seem like Dunham half-heartedly wrote the script while eating pizza and watching Kardashian reruns.
Which, in all honesty, is probably what happened. Let's take a look at some of the less plausible moments:
