Undercover hits

In this week's Eyesites, inspired by Ben Folds's infamous version of Dr. Dre's "Bitches Ain't Shit," we at The Eye took it upon ourselves to compile a list of our 12 favorite unexpected covers. In the magazine, it's a match game, in which you have to pair the original song with the covering artist—so, if you still want to play, close your browser and go grab a copy (or click here)! But here, now, for your listening pleasure, we present the songs themselves, in all of their bizarre glory.

"Jolene" by Dolly Parton, covered by The White Stripes.

"Lithium" by Nirvana, covered by The Polyphonic Spree.

"Sweet Dreams" by The Eurythmics, covered by Marilyn Manson.

"Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails, covered by Johnny Cash.
