Procrastination time is precious. Luckily, we've compiled a list of the funniest, most unique, and all-around weirdest episodes and events that'll be hitting the airwaves this week, from Liz Lemon to Lisa Simpson. Sit back, grab a remote, and enjoy:
-The Mindy Project (airs 10/2 at 9:30, FOX) - Mindy Kaling is undeniably everything right with the world, and with 30 Rock ending, someone has to fill Tina Fey’s multihyphenate comedy-goddess role. This unabashedly romantic comedy’s pilot oozed potential, but the pacing was just plain awkward. Can Mindy pull it together for the sake of nerdy Ivy Leaguers (she’s a Dartmouth alumna) everywhere? Imaginary survey says yes.
-First Presidential Debate (airs 10/3 at 9:00, all major networks) - The first of four debates, Wednesday's contest will focus on domestic policy, a topic pertinent to employment-hungry college kids. Whether you’re politically inclined or swimming in apathy, it’s a must-see if only for the SNL fodder. Fun fact: The debate falls on the Obamas’ wedding anniversary, so consider watching a cheap gift for the first couple.
