Everything was pumpkin spice lattes and nothing hurt

Fall is the harbinger of the best things ever. At last, you get to wear sweaters, and carve pumpkins, and watch the leaves change colors, and all the other things moms on Pinterest have devoted boards to.

Most importantly, autumn is the season of the pumpkin spice latte. That’s right, for the next heartbreakingly few months, Starbucks serves up drinkable pumpkin pie.

But, come mid-winter, this gourd flavored treat is suddenly pulled from under our feet because someone deems it “unseasonal.” No one will think you’re crazy if you walk into a diner demanding cherry pie in February, even though most cherries are harvested in June.

But try asking for pumpkin in May and your waitress is likely to laugh in your innocent, autumn harvest loving face. Yes, maybe the absence of pumpkin makes the heart grow fonder, but I find this to be an old fashioned mindset. Here, I present to you a list of other flavors that should be served year round.
