CU on Campus: Carver Karaszewski

Welcome back to CU on Campus, your guide to Columbia's most notable sartorial citizens. This week, we meet Carver Karaszewski, BC '15, and learn about her addiction to online shopping and how she is learning to dress for New York weather after a lifetime of California sunshine. Despite her LA roots, her love of black pants and colored scarves easily transfers over to New York winter, which seems to have already begun. She swears by the websites ASOS (free returns!) and Etsy for everything from clothes to dorm decor. Scroll down to check out some of her favorite outfits and inspirations.

Who is your style icon and why?
I love Diane Keaton because when she starred in the film Annie Hall, she changed the way that women were viewed in movies and in society. She was not wearing a dress or a skirt; Diane Keaton was wearing pants, a button down shirt, a blazer, and a tie—she was dressed like a man, but also expressed the vulnerabilities and challenges of a woman.
