We told you last night that negotiators for United Auto Workers Local 2110 had reached a tentative contract agreement with Barnard administrators. According to an email to students from Barnard President Debora Spar, union members voted to approve that contract this morning.
The new contract lasts three years, meaning we won't be seeing another labor dispute at Barnard until 2015 at the earliest. Union leadership had said that Barnard originally proposed a three-year wage freeze, and many students rallied for the union's cause. Spar said that the new contract "represents a grounded and fair compromise."
Read Spar's email after the jump, and check back later tonight for a full breakdown of the new contract from the News Desk.
