In case you missed it: This week in news

If you’ve been living under a rock for the last week, you’ve been missing out. Take a few minutes out of your Saturday afternoon procrastination for our speed-read of this week’s top stories:

It wouldn’t be Columbia if student space wasn’t a hot topic. The biggest storyline this week was the culmination of the brownstone application process, which saw Alpha Chi Omega, Lambda Phi Epsilon, and Q House snag three 114th Street brownstones.

Meanwhile, club leaders expressed frustration with the Lerner Hall space reservation process, and Barnard opened up late-night study hours at the Diana.

There was also a lot of news about education this week. Out in the city, we saw four mayoral candidates lay out their visions for city schools at a Harlem church, and a group of students headed to City Hall to protest looming cuts to city schools.
