Inspired by the feature on love at Columbia in The Canon last week, this week's Just Ask Sara will answer the questions and complaints on dating and love that I hear from my friends constantly:
How can I get into a relationship?
Step one is to find somebody to be in a relationship with (if you've got someone in mind, keep reading, otherwise skip down to meeting people in the next section).
Step two is making them realize that you actually want to be in a relationship with them. This is usually the hard part, since everybody wants to seem subtle and mysterious and stuff.
If you know the person pretty well/are in the "Are we friends? More than friends? Stars of a future romantic comedy?" stage:
1. Ask him/her on a date. Stop trying to be mysterious and scared, get your act together, and ask him/her already.
2. If it goes well, kiss them bye (gotta leave something to the imagination) and text them a bit that week. Ask them to do something else the next weekend.
