Columbia College alumnus and Delhi entrepreneur Sharik Currimbhoy has donated 12.12 million dollars to the University. The donation, which was intentionally announced on 12/12/12 to coincide with the amount given, is the largest donation to Columbia from any international donor.
Currimbhoy intends for the money to go to multiple schools in order to support fellowships and research centered around India and other emerging markets.
