Phi Beta Kappa inductees suggest study breaks

We asked some of the Phi Beta Kappa early inductees, the top 2% of the senior class, for their advice on how to survive finals, since they're pretty good at school and stuff.

Here's what they said:

Tyler Benedict: Open computer. Put on R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet." Study until you can't stay awake any more. Repeat.

Gavin McGown:

  • I've learnt when and when not to give fucks.
  • I turn off my internet when I'm writing papers. More important, I put a post-it note over the clock on my laptop display, since I write poorly if I focus on the time rather than the text.
  • Water always, coffee when necessary, trips to Joe coffee for rewards. I also pick a time at night when I'm just going to stop working and have a drink.
