Have you seen "Empress"? The first music video from Morningsiders—a band of five CC students—went viral on Facebook last night. In the less than 12 hours since it was released, it's amassed over 2,700 views on YouTube. What began as a collaboration between Magnus Ferguson (guitar/vocals) and Reid Jenkins (fiddle/vocals) expanded this year with the addition of Robert Frech (piano), Vladimir Bernstein (bass/vocals), and Benjamin Kreitman (trumpet/percussion/vocals), all CC ’14. The bluegrass/folk/pop group got its start on campus at Postcrypt Coffeehouse and has gained a steady following over the semester. Morningsiders was the second-to-last act at October's Lowlapalooza. They teamed up with filmmaker Max Bartick, CC ’13, earlier this month for their first music video. Check it out after the jump!
