Students show solidarity for Canada's indigenous rights movement

Cold and snow didn't deter a few members of the Columbia community from holding a demonstration on College Walk today to show their support for Idle No More, an indigenous rights movement that began in Canada in November 2012.

The movement is aimed at defending the rights of the First Nations peoples of Canada.

The small group of demonstrators waved their signs and chanted phrases such as "Canada is all Indian land" and "Columbia is on Indian land."
