Columbia College Student Council will appoint a new University Senator in the coming week, President Karishma Habbu announced in an email to Columbia College students Monday night.
The new senator is taking the seat of Eduardo Santana, CC '13. Santana confirmed that he would not be at Columbia this semester.
Nominations for the Senate seat are open now at this link, and CC students can self-nominate or nominate others until February 1 at noon.
"It can be anyone, it can be a first-year, a senior, whoever," said Will Hughes, CC '13, CCSC vice president for policy.
