Saved by the bell:The administrative guest of the evening was Linda Bell, who became Provost and Dean of Faculty in October. Bell said that beginning next week, she plans to begin preliminary work on “a full-scale general education review.” Bell said that she is assembling a committee that will include faculty and students to discuss how to restructure Barnard’s curriculum and general education requirements. Bell added that it would take a year to a year and a half to conceptualize a new curriculum.
