Meet the girl who wrote about 'Doctor Who' in her CC essay

Jacklyn Hoffman, CC ’14, is known to her friends as “the girl with 44 Union Jacks in her room” and describes herself as “a massive anglophile,” so it makes complete sense that Jacklyn is a die-hard Whovian.

Whovians are fans of the British sci-fi show "Doctor Who," which tells the story of the Doctor, a Time Lord who journeys through time and space in his TARDIS.

Jacklyn first started watching "Doctor Who" in 2006 when no one in the United States really knew what the show was. Immediately, she began showing all of her friends Doctor Who, essentially acting as a DW evangelist..  She continues with these efforts today saying, “I jump at any excuse to share my love for 'Doctor Who.'”

Jacklyn told me about the "Doctor Who" community which she describes as “a really happy community. You can just enjoy really quirky, fun adventures with the Doctor.”
