Columbia's hidden treasure

Our university is well known for many architectural accomplishments: neoclassical columns, expansive greenery, and, of course, Alma Mater.

You often walk past tour groups hitting up these famous landmarks, unsure whether you ought to smile at the prospective students, look at your cell phone, or shriek "LEAVE THIS PLACE! LEAVE WHILE YOUR SOUL IS PURE!" and scuttle away like a frightened mouse.

But there's a place those tour groups will never be shown, because many Columbians are themselves unaware of its existence. It's a place of peace in times of war, a place of solitude in times of multitude, a place for reflection in times of refraction.
