It seems that these days a student band releases a new music video every week, reminding everyone else that some people are able to be both full-time scholars and rockstars on the side (it's okay, my mom still thinks I'm special). This week was no exception, with band Star and the Sea's "Winter in New York" appearing on YouTube yesterday.
The video features the band---vocalist Dominique Star, CC '13, bass player Natalie Weiner, CC '13, drummer Isaac Bunch, CC '14, guitarist Blake Cowan, CC '13, and, on keys, Emily Hamilton, CC '13---playing in a candlelit lounge to a couple of students bopping along and drinking wine (is this something people do? How can I get in on it?). Star's rich vocals, accompanied by light harmonies on the choruses and the irresistible strum of the ukulele, make for a catchy tune that is summery despite its wintry name.
