Unlike in previous years, graduating students will need to reserve their Commencement tickets online. Undergraduates will still be able to reserve four seats this year, and graduate students will be able to reserve three. An additional viewing site will also be offered in Dodge Gymnasium. The popularity of celebrating Commencement in the spectacular setting provided by our historic campus, combined with natural growth over time in the number of assembled graduates, has led inevitably to new demands on finite space and therefore some incremental changes in order to comfortably accommodate members of the Class of 2013 and their guests. The 2013 Commencement Ceremony ticket policy described here reflects the input of University officers and senior administrators from all of Columbia’s schools and colleges.
