Barnard Student Mugged

A Barnard College student was robbed at knifepoint at 115th Street and Riverside Drive early Wednesday morning, according to Barnard’s Office of Safety and Security. It was at least the fifth robbery involving students reported since the beginning of the semester.

Around 2:30 a.m., the student was approached by a man brandishing a knife, who took her cell phone and other belongings.

The assailant is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches, wearing a dark blue baseball hat with a blue bandana over his face.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Signoretti at the 26th Precinct Detective Squad at 212-678-1350.
