Cooper Earns Blair Bat

PUBLISHED MAY 1, 2008

By virtue of hitting .507 against Ivy League opponents, senior outfielder Noah Cooper was awarded the Blair Bat, which is given to the batter who ends league play with the highest batting average and a minimum of 2.2 at-bats per game. The Lions co-captain led the Ancient Eight with 34 hits in 20 league games, helping him become the ninth player in a Light Blue uniform to earn this distinction. Cooper will look to keep his tear at the plate going as Columbia battles Dartmouth in Hanover this weekend for the Ivy League championship.
