Asbestos found in McBain and Hamilton

McBain and Hamilton Halls are currently undergoing asbestos abatement.

Signage posted outside of McBain said that asbestos was found in pipe insulation on the eighth floor and in hallway closets on the seventh and eighth floors.

In Hamilton, according to notices posted on The Lion, workers found asbestos in windows on the third and fourth floors.

No students are living in McBain this summer, as the dorm is currently undergoing a series of renovations, which includes upgrades to the bathrooms, lounges, and hallways on floors two through eight.

Check back for updates.
