Last year was wrought with inconsistency for the University of Pennsylvania football team. While the Quakers outscored their opponents by an average of four points a game, 23.1 to 19.3, they finished with a 4-6 record for the season.

Coming off a tough road loss against SUNY Stony Brook on Friday evening, the Columbia men’s soccer team (1-2-1) mounted a great effort in one of their biggest challenges of the season. The Lions defeated the sixth-ranked team in the nation, UC Santa Barbara, 3-1 in their home opener on Sunday.

The Columbia volleyball team had an amazing start to the season this weekend in the Lafayette Crosstown tournament. After facing off against Coppin State, Lafayette and Quinnipiac, the team left the Easton, Pa. competition undefeated.
