One of the biggest assets to student life at Columbia is the wide variety of clubs and activities available to the students. The University advertises its 45 club sports in most of its literature, and gives these clubs an opportunity to operate a table at the Days on Campus Activities Fair.

The Columbia men’s and women’s tennis teams will take on Harvard and Dartmouth in matches that are pivotal for both the men and women. The men are coming off a nail-biting, 4-3 win over Cornell in a match that came right down to the wire.

The Columbia baseball team has struggled to get consistent performances from its pitching staff all season, tallying a 7.48 team earned run average. Perhaps its best stretch of games this season came last weekend when it played its first Ivy opponents and went 3-1.

After accruing its fourth conference loss of the year in as many attempts on Wednesday night, the Columbia lacrosse team (3-6, 0-4 Ivy) will face Brown (4-5, 1-1 Ivy) Saturday afternoon. The Lions are coming off a 15-4 defeat at the hands of Princeton, which is ranked second in the nation.

All three Columbia rowing teams will be in action this week, with the lightweights and women hitting the road and the heavyweights holding down the fort at home. The lightweight men will head to Princeton, N.J. to take on Princeton and Georgetown. The women travel to Princeton, N.J.

A New York Police Department bomb squad was called to investigate a "suspicious package" that was left in Pinnacle restaurant at the corner of 115th Street and Broadway in the early hours of Friday morning.
