Last semester, I fell into the habit of studying only in my dorm. In fact, I only went to Butler two times. Everyone always looked so serious and angry. Someone was bound to be crying in the corner. The stacks of books looked like they wanted to eat me.

Not only is it a new semester, but also a new year; time to get working on those lofty resolutions. Unfortunately, it’s never as easy as it sounds. Between Physics for Poets, LitHum, and other random courses, you’ve managed to rack up 25 credits. Unsustainable? You betcha.

Declaring your major is a huge deal. This is the subject by which your life will completely revolve around for the rest of eternity. You will breathe that subject, foster this subject as if it were your own child, live and die alongside that subject. Not to psych you out or anything.

For many of us, school (unfortunately) doesn’t end when we turn in our last exams. For the overachieving, goal-oriented, and/or insane, summer is just another outlet to make their resumé oh-so impressive and shiny.
