The Bacchanal Committee must work with a cap of $75,000 to hire an artist for next year’s concert and a budget of just over $207,700 for the whole event after its budget was determined during this year’s Funding at Columbia University event.

This year’s Funding at Columbia (F@CU) Committee will decide how much to allocate to the Bacchanal Committee, which is no longer a group under the Activities Board at Columbia, but is rather under the oversight of the four councils.

At their general body meeting on Sunday, Columbia College Student Council voted to create the position of inclusion and equity representative. Like other council representatives, the position will be elected by the student body.
