It is not uncommon to hear musicians at Columbia complaining about the lack of good performance space. In fact, musicians have been complaining about this for more than 30 years. Why hasn’t Columbia given musicians the space they need?

Students in the selective Barnard-Columbia-Juilliard Exchange, who take classes at both Juilliard and Columbia’s Morningside Heights campus, explore post-graduation career paths. Some become professional musicians, while others have ambitions less typical of a Juilliard-trained musician.
