Last week, Woody Allen turned me on. It wasn't his sagging face, his evaporating torso, or his notorious aura of unadulterated Jewish neuroticism; it was just a reaction to his re-emerging directorial flair. But this isn't intellectual hyperbole; my response was purely sexual in nature.

All the rumors are true. Woody Allen's Match Point ranks among his best movies and it is unlike any film he's ever made. While Crimes and Misdemeanors and Manhattan Murder Mystery both played with the film noir genre, at heart they stayed true to Allen's trademark pungent comedy.

Disney's first fully computer-generated film, Chicken Little, was released a few weeks ago, and though it did well at the box office, it fell far from matching the gargantuan grosses or glowing reviews of Dreamworks' Shrek 2, or Pixar's Finding Nemo.
