Sex is a hot topic. So hot, in fact, that Columbia and several of its other Ivy League counterparts devote an entire week to talking about it. In theory, Safer Sex Week is a great idea-few would condemn efforts to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections.

I often find myself wishing that life were a little bit more like a romantic movie. I'm not embarrassed to admit it; I have a soft spot for movies like When Harry Met Sally and Love, Actually (and let's be honest, Wedding Crashers counts).

A little over a week ago, I met a cute girl outside my residence hall, and we hit it off. When I saw the same girl again two nights later, I was rushing to my room to watch the Super Bowl.

After being snowed out of their chance to end the Ivy Championships in front of a home crowd, the Columbia fencing teams will combine their last Ivy bout against Princeton with their multi-meet against NYU, Vassar, and Sacred Heart this evening at the Blue Gym.

Princeton was sitting at 2-10 before the start of its Ivy campaign, including humiliating losses to Division III Carnegie Mellon and Monmouth, where they tied an NCAA record with just 21 points in the game.
