Columbia certainly knows how to keep its fans' heart rates elevated, winning both games this weekend on buzzer-beating jump shots. Head coach Joe Jones is no stranger to close games this season, going 8-2 in contests decided by fewer than five points.

Lightning struck twice this weekend. Columbia stunned Princeton tonight when Justin Armstrong hit the go-ahead 10-foot jumper with 11 seconds left to give the Lions a 65-64 win and the team's first sweep of Penn and Princeton since 2001.

Columbia quietly hung around and kept the game close against Ivy League-leading Penn Friday night, waiting for the right moment to break through.       With only one second remaining on the clock, that moment came with a bang.

Watching the Olympics is a great excuse to vegetate on the couch with friends, eating food and living vicariously through the immense physical exertion of the athletes. Sometimes the act of watching speed skating, snowboarding, and figure skating feels like a workout in itself.

Well, the numbers are in, and the Winter Olympics aren't exactly winning in terms of ratings. It's not a huge surprise: most of the events are slightly foreign and the dominant athletes aren't usually from the US.
