Success has come early and often for the men's heavyweights. Last weekend, they opened their spring season with a victory at the Collin's Cup regatta against Rutgers. This weekend, the team continued the trend, rowing past MIT and Army to a victory at the Alumni Cup.

Three women's crews came to New York to compete with the 20th-ranked Lions women's rowing team. All three went home empty handed as Columbia swept their final home regatta of the season.

The month of March was brutal for a gambling man. The NCAA basketball tournament teased with ideas of sure things-powerhouses who were supposed to be locks for the Final Four. Then Duke lost. Then UConn. George Mason made the Final Four, and random ruled once again.

Under fair skies at Andy Coakley Field, the Columbia baseball team split two doubleheaders this weekend against Ivy rivals Yale and Brown. Though they came out slow to lose 6-4 against Yale on Saturday, game-saving fielding secured a second game 9-7 victory.
