The annual Advisory Committee on Socially Responsible Investing town hall held Tuesday night in Schapiro Engineering Center's Davis Auditorium centered on controversial social issues. Yet it received little interest from Columbia students.

More than halfway through my second semester at the School of General Studies, I've noticed that there are two kinds of students. First, there are the people who involve themselves in all of the social activities, go to all the barbecues, brunches, wings nights, etc.

When the housing lottery rolls around every March, first-years and sophomores cross their fingers and hope that they do not get stuck in Wien Hall. The building is showing its age, most notably in the recent plumbing problems which left residents without hot water for several days.

The Columbia women's basketball team missed many opportunities in last night's 71-53 loss to Bucknell. Despite forcing more turnovers than the Bison, the Lions could not convert their turnovers into points as Bucknell pulled away in the final eight minutes.

As the Ivy League football season comes to a close there is a three-team race between Princeton (8-1, 5-1 Ivy), Yale (7-2, 5-1 Ivy), and Harvard (7-2, 4-2 Ivy) for the Ivy League title. For the league leaders, this Saturday's results will be crucial in their pursuit of the championship.
