Apparently, there's this thing people do at night where they close their eyes and dream. They call it "sleep." I think I "slept" when I was younger, but these days I have trouble understanding the concept. There's just so much to do all the time. I can't waste hours just lying in one place.

Columbia University is a great institution: for 250 years, it has been among the premier institutions of higher education both in the United States and in the world. Columbia says it needs to expand, and most reasonable people agree-not just the University's spokesmen.

In the past year, Columbia has not made many friends in the surrounding community. The University has been criticized for its alleged abuse of eminent domain by many Manhattanville residents as well as by some neighbors in the Morningside Heights community.

Two free throws by Brett Loscalzo ended a late push by Sacred Heart, giving Columbia men's basketball a 76-71 win on Saturday night. Back in the comforts of Levien Gymnasium, the Lions snapped a two-game losing skid behind 16 points from John Baumann and Niko Scott, moving to 5-3 on the season.
