This weekend, the Columbia softball team will play five games in three days at the Florida Atlantic Miken Classic in Boca Raton, Fla. These games will be the first tests for a relatively young team, especially the pitching staff, which could potentially feature a sophomore and four freshmen.

With coaches for parents, it was expected that Kim and Kacy Krisman be involved in sports from an early age. But since the age of nine, it was clear the twins excelled most at softball, and by the next year they were traveling to tournaments in the summer and fall as part of a club team.
