While their fellow students were on vacation, four Columbia wrestlers spent the end of their spring break in Auburn Hills, Mich. Junior Brandon Kinney, freshman Matt Dunn, and seniors Devin Mesanko and Matt Palmer competed in the NCAA wrestling tournament between March 15 and 17.

The Columbia softball team spent their spring break in Kissimmee, Fla. competing in the Rebel Games for the seventh straight year. The Lions played 14 games in an eight-day span, and finished the tournament 7-7, bringing their season record to 9-10.

The lightweight crew team had mixed results over spring break. For the second straight year, Virginia swept the Lions' varsity in the 1000-meters, winning all five races.

The Columbia lacrosse team wasn't going to have a typical spring break. No trips abroad to Jamaica or Canada, no visits to the ocean shores of Long Beach or Daytona, not even a good chance to forget the winter drudge of Morningside Heights.

It's hard not to be moved when watching a film about the Rwandan genocide. However, it's even more emotional when the film is not only written by a journalist who covered the events but also shot on location to feature actual Rwandan survivors.
