Last Tuesday morning, while most of you were sleeping soundly in your beds or sunbathing in Bermuda, I was driving to the Springfield, Mass, courthouse. No, I was not on trial-I was assigned to jury duty over spring break.

I have a highly inconvenient tendency to blush. In the past, it hasn't bothered me because I've kept myself in an atmosphere fairly free of blush-inducing stimuli. But a few months on Columbia's campus has turned my cheeks permanently red.

After having to sit out last year's NCAA Track and Field Indoor Championships with a case of mononucleosis that landed him in the hospital, Columbia senior Erison Hurtault finished sixth on March 10 at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.

Over spring break the Columbia men's tennis team completed its grueling road trip to Texas during which they played against the four highly ranked teams of Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M, Texas Arlington, and Texas San Antonio.
