It was a rain-soaked, blustery afternoon in late April when the Columbia lacrosse squad faced off against the Crimson, at Harvard's Jordan Field, and secured its first Ivy League win. That was two seasons ago-one year later, the two teams met again, this time on Columbia's home field.

The Lions' distance runners will get a bit of a break from the constant traveling the team has been doing lately, only going as far as Princeton for the Larry Ellis Invitational from April 20-21.

The season finale has arrived for the Columbia golf team. The men's team will be heading out to Galloway Golf Club in Galloway, N.J., while the women's team heads to Trenton Country Club in West Trenton. Tee times start at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday for the 54-hole event.

As police continued to search for the man who raped and tortured a Columbia Graduate School of Journalism student for 19 hours this past weekend, they were called to a local supermarket to investigate a reported sighting of the suspect in what turned out to be a false alarm.
