No one likes to lose. Whether you are a player or a fan, that sensation you get in the pit of your stomach after losing is indescribable. You stand with your jaw open, just wondering what has happened. You deny the fact that time has expired and there is nothing you can do to change it.

The Columbia men’s and women’s track teams made successful showings at this weekend’s ECAC/IC4A Championships in Boston, Mass. Both squads tallied a total of 10 points, tying the Lions’ largest scoring output in the history of the event.

The Columbia Lions were victorious in their first game of the season, slugging their way to a 14-8 win at Davidson. The Light Blue started off the season in a big way with a four-run first inning punctuated by centerfielder senior Matt Buckmiller’s two-run homer.
